February 23, 2024 - Genuinely great bottle for $15. Solid porch pounder. Not a complex and intellectual bottle. Nice vanilla flavor for only 6 months in new French oak barrels.
October 26, 2022 - Medium nose shows red fruit, fresh earth, orange peel. Palate gives medium body, med plus tannins, nice medium plus acidity, flavors of red plum, raspberry, sage, dried herbs. Nice QPR if you're looking for a not fruit forward style.
June 12, 2022 - Soft tannins that will benefit from time. Decent right from the bottle at open for the price. Had blueberry notes on nose almost merlot-like, with cranberry, apple skin and lingering wood on the pallet. Medium body with some lingering time. Needs aging for complexity.
May 1, 2022 - Blueberry nose, which makes me wonder if there’s some Syrah in here. The palate is rather tight, but there’s some nice fruit poking through. Give this another couple of years, a long decant, or a big steak.
December 12, 2021 - velvety is right. There's some plum, low tannin and mild for a cab. Body is pretty soft.
November 6, 2021 - Nice enough, smooth, velvety, balanced. Couldn't get excited about it though, for some reason. Maybe lacks complexity?
May 14, 2021 - Spoiled-vegetable nose. Dense ripe fruit, with some nice stemmy, woody elements. Very even presentation with a long final note that is the highlight. A lot of wine for the price.
