July 25, 2021 - Tastes exactly what you would expect a $10 wine to taste like. Definitely better than a bottom shelf wine, but not especially memorable. Dark color, pleasing nose with some dark fruit and cassis. More dark fruit on the palate. Surprisingly, the tannins are still assertive and not fully integrated; the wine softens a bit after being opened for an hour or so. Moderate finish. Good varietal character, but lacks complexity and depth. Ordinary, but pleasant enough.
