March 21, 2024 - Opened but not decanted. Consumed two hours later with dinner. Black and blue fruits on the nose and palate, but really not giving up anything else here.

This is probably the lowest I've scored an Andremily Mourvèdre yet (still an impressive 93) as I think this is woefully young and needs time in the cellar to come around. Although this was not decanted, it was consumed over the course of six or so hours after being opened. It was tight and never developed in the glass. I've consumed a lot of Andremily wines and many of them are ready to go young and upon pop and pour. This needs time. 93++

March 7, 2024 - First time trying Andremily's mourvèdre. Opened shortly before serving.

Bold and sweet, oak still very much present. Others at the table liked it more than I did.

September 1, 2023 - Decanted 4 hours. Drank over next hour. Amazing spice notes. Wee integrated and balanced. This not hits everything you could ask for in a California Mourvèdre

May 31, 2023 - From excellence to questionable in just 4 months. This producer has been all over the map with me. Just 4 months ago I rated this bottle highly, but last night's presentation after a nine hour decant, was consistently so acidic from front to back with big fruit underneath. Several nights ago I drank the Syrah from the same vintage which, after a six hour decant, was simply all vanilla/oak suggesting it was flawed but three hours later it was all fruit. Other vintages have ranged from beautiful to flawed. Solving this variance is becoming too tiresome.

April 29, 2023 - I have been drinking this wine all week via Coravin. The wine is full bodied with terrific fruit and ample tannins for storage. Blue and black fruit up front with no fading through the week or evening. The middle took on Asian spice and the back end was a little hot but with the right entree the heat added complexity. A well crafted wine that should continue to soften up a bit, but those who like it bold without the candy fruit of some wines then this is a great choice now and for the next five years.
