February 20, 2021 - This is why you buy Bordeaux (when you are young) and keep it in your cellar for 25+ years. This wine was a joy to drink! Black plum and some black current, cigar box, fine leather, pencil lead, impeccable claret structure. My only criticism is that the oak remained fairly prominent and might have melded better. It may need a bit of time. The dregs were poured out of the bottle about 18 hours after it was opened (intact cork). The dregs had not faded one bit on the nose or palate. Bravo!

January 10, 2021 - drinking great, perfectly balanced after ~1hr decant. i'd guess this still has 5ish years at its peak.

January 2, 2021 - Really nice wine, with soft texture and lovely blue and black fruit with some earth and smoke. Beautiful wine, drinking well.

    October 22, 2020 - 70% Cab, 25% Merlot, Petit Verdot 5%

This is still delicious! Great bouquet mostly of ripe fruit, plum and raisin (it was a hot year apparently), complemented with cedarwood and earthy element.
This wine has still great freshness and is balanced and concentrated. The acidity has come a bit more forward as you would expect with aging. Nice full finish. Just great classical Bordeaux, elegant and delicate.

(Chateau Leoville-Barton) Out of the gates a nose of toasty earth, cinnamon, slight Cabernet bell pepper aromas, wet earth, mint, red currants. After a while in the glass it got very floral and really developed. A hint of white pepper. Soft palate with nice silky mature red fruit flavors. Great concentration and a cool hint of wintermint life saver lingers on the finish with some slight unevolved tannin. Very nice.
