May 12, 2024 - Nice fruit. Interestingly more tight than prior bottle I had. Slightly tight and dusty tannin into finish, which I don’t recall with prior bottle tastes a year ago.

July 31, 2023 - Agree with Ricard. This is a fantastic morey which punches way above its mere “village” status. Savoury nose with dark cherry fruits, plums, figs, some stems influence (little bit of spice). Great depth on the palate, layered, meaty, you can almost chew on this wine. Still shockingly tannic despite 18 years of age. This can easily go another 10 years, no rush to consume at all. Great stuff.

July 28, 2023 - Very full bodied for a red burgundy. Also dark in color.

July 27, 2023 - This is beast of a wine! Dark ruby color. Still chewy, full bodied and concentrated. Part of the bottle was left on the counter in vaccum for four days, still drinkable without much oxidized flavors.

July 6, 2023 - The fruit feels deep and ancient - it's in a state of elegant decline. Serious depth and richness. Fruit compote - prunes, figs. Superb. Profound. Great that villages wine can age like this. Remarkably tannic on the finish; drying.

June 25, 2023 - Powerful, dark, dense and incredibly youthful and fruity. At least premier cru quality. Silky elegant 2005 that has long long life ahead.

June 17, 2023 - In a lovely spot. Medium body. Dark fruit, nice acidity and balance. Good energy on the palate but with gentle tannins. Emerging tertiary flavors. This has many great years ahead. Punching well above its weight.

February 11, 2023 - Chez W, splash decant, perfect cork and level, very Dujac, youthful robe and flavours, fruit starting to show but much more to come, generosity and volume of top vintage, better than many prems in weaker vintages, good length, persistence and concentration, considerable upside, 15+ years. At least F (17.5) and quite something for a village Morey!
