August 17, 2022 - Somewhat ethereal and transparent, with crisp red fruit, stems, and light wood notes. Firmly tannic, so I'll wait a few before opening another one.

January 6, 2022 - On the light side even for a restrained style. bright and fresh for sure but i wonder a bit about the QPR here.

August 7, 2021 - Celebratory dinner at home: Third wine of evening while waiting for steak to be ready, so an unplanned PnP. This needs a few years as right now it is all fruit and no earthiness like the Gerbet before it. Wife liked this better between the two. To me it drank like a German pinot or perhaps like an Oregon wine. Very refined and silky with high acidity, but just too young right now. Didn't regret opening but not yet in its preferred window.

February 24, 2021 - PnP; no decant. Initial notes of red fruits, orange peel and a bit of dustiness. A bit of fizz too. I find this wine to be somewhat rich for an A/R Pinot Noir. It's not a fault; if anything, it's my mistake for opening this bottle too soon.

Anyway, the red fruit, orange, and dustiness remain over time and the profile expands a bit to include a floral element on the mid palate and a bit at all brown sugar and watermelon rind at the very end. It needs time. Cellar for three to five years for optimal drinking.

(Served with beef stroganoff over noodles (NYT).)

February 21, 2021 - Light tannins, light extraction, and fairly open for business. There’s a tiny touch of reduction here but not enough to render it unpleasant, and this has that haunting Burgundian nose even if the fruit leans Californian in its generosity. I’ve no clue how this will age but I don’t feel bad having opened it early to get a sense of the style.

November 21, 2020 - Light and approachable, but it may improve dramatically with a year or two in bottle. So, possible upscore. 12.5%; a touch of fizz.
