  April 13, 2024 - Amazing wine, decanter for an hour, dark fruits, long finish and nice fullness on the body.

  January 2, 2024 - Two hour decant. Nearly opaque electric magenta color (with almost black core). Lush blackberry, black cherry, sugar plum, cinnamon maple scone, peony, orange rind, baker’s chocolate, and subtle butterscotch. Dry, satiny, slightly chalky, full bodied palate, with somewhat dusty acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.
  
  There’s some kind of bay leaf and/or slate deep in the background that keeps this less sweet-nosed than it sounds. Even so, this is a juicy, voluptuous, fruit forward beast. The ‘18 vintage made it a bit more serious than normal (in a good way).

  November 25, 2023 - Drank following a 2013 Schrader LPV and this was the preffered wine by all. What a great vintage of Lewis this has been! I bought 3 cases and am unfortinately down to my last 6. Now that Lewis has been sold, I hope the quality of this wine and price points remain the same. I know that Randy Lewis is staying on board at least for the time being.

  September 19, 2023 - A special vintage that has consistently delivers in my experience. This 2018 has depth, character and preforms well above its pay grade. Dark and nicely extracted blue and blackberry fruits, cassis, firm tannins and full bodied flavor profile. 94+ Points tonight as a pop and pour perhaps better with some air.
