February 16, 2024 - Very nice Langhe Nebbiolo. High alcohol wine but I wouldn't have known. Even after a few hours on its first day, definite violets along with earthy dark fruit and savory character. Second day nice medicinal nuances as well. Not an overblown, "new world" bomb, etc. at all. Quite liked this.

    February 12, 2022 - 80% Freisa, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot

Full body, deep ruby color. Intense aroma of black fruits, flowers with herbal background. Rich black currants and sweet spices palate complemented by muscular tannins, sour cherry’s acidity and bold finish. Actually very good wine but atypical Langhe - overpowered, alcoholic and loses balance, albeit complex and food friendly, enjoyable with veal schnitzel and baked eggplants. Serve 16ºC - 18ºC. Open two hours ahead. Drink now and next five/six years.

December 13, 2021 - This is vastly disappointing for a 20 EUR wine.

On the day of opening, it was very trivial, obviously in need of a lot of air. In the following days it became a well-proportioned, pleasant, clean wine, displaying some classical liquorice-sour cherry-cocoa powder characteristics.

But it's just simple and unambitious. Classical 10 EUR stuff.

As such, lightyears away from anything I'd want to pay 20 EUR for (which the actual cost was). And thus the 'I don't like it' - the quality is OK but the price is shameless for what it is.

Possibly opened far too early / should have waited 3 years or so.

October 23, 2021 - Really interesting stuff. Dark red fruits. Just enough acidity to keep it from being too heavy.

July 24, 2021 - For a DOC wine, this is pretty darn delicious. On a restaurant wine list, so retail price around $35 or so. Honestly, this wine competes with its $90 Barolo Bussia but really does not in any way compare to its Cicala (and at the respective price points, you don't expect it to). Was actually really impressed to see this on a wine list tonight. The wine was actually fairly dark pour. Crimson. The entry is herbal black cherry pie. Not very acidic at all, with great rounded mouthfeel. Floral middle.... wildflowers. Finished with some gritty tannin that really did not seem to negatively impact the overall depth or complexity of this wine, which was actually quite impressive at the price.

April 30, 2021 - One of my favorite piedmont producers. An amazing wine that, for the price, delivers amazing quality and value! A balanced earthy nose imbues notes of black pudding, strawberries and raspberries. The taste a balanced and tasteful tannin, also a brings a great taste of dark and red fruit! Would recommend. Overall: 91

January 9, 2021 - Mörkt rubinrött ngt violett i kanten. Mörka bär, kola, skog, fruktig doft. Fylligt mjukt fruktrikt i smak. Hög syra och medium lite kärva tanniner. Mycket gott, särskilt till den ostrika pizzan som möter vinet fint. Primära karaktärer dominerar.
