November 13, 2023 - Citrus, yellow flowers and sea breeze. A bit lean for my palate.
October 20, 2023 - Subtle aromas of jasmin tea, lemon, and ozone. Lacks concentration, but without bitterness and refreshing.
June 28, 2023 - Slight flinty reduction, Meyer lemon, rainwater, refreshing acidity
April 29, 2023 - PNP followed over the afternoon. Needed some air to gain some depth. Lemon, green apple, nice saline character. Maybe lacking a bit of character, but it delivers everything you want in a basic Chardonnay - ripe fruit, but still lean body and zesty acidity.
November 10, 2022 - Held up nicely for two days and may have been better on day two. I didn't get the matchstick notes that I've loved from other Walter Scott Chardonnays and was pretty middle of the road for me. I'll probably pay a bit more for, at least, the Cuvee Anne and skip this bottling in future years.
November 4, 2022 - Pop and poured into three glasses (Glasvin Expression, Grassl Cru, and Riedel Sommelier Burgundy).
Light straw color.
Nose offers green apple, some lime peel, and unripe pineapple notes.
Tart, green wine on the intro; shows some mineral and sotne elements along with tart green and sour apple.
Slightly bitter.
The wine seemed to show best in the Riedel Sommelier Burgundy glass as
the other glasses seemed to highlight the tart and bitter elements of the wine.
Ended up using a cup in French onion soup.
November 3, 2022 - Subtle aromas, lemon, mineral, very slight herbal notes. Textured acid driven palate with a medium finish. Tasting much more open now than on release, but can go another year or two.
October 5, 2022 - Nicely integrated reductive notes, crushed grapeseed, lime zest, massive acidity, and powerful dry extract. I’d love to try this in a few years as I feel this is just dropping into prime drinkability and starting to loosen up a bit. Impressive for the price.
September 5, 2022 - Tart green apple with hints of lemon. Very clean.
August 24, 2022 - Fresh and crisp - just as expected.
