July 2, 2022 - Domain Leroy; 7/2/2022-7/3/2022 (Mørkved): About a barrel produced (300ish bottles). Nose with concentrated fruit. Pepper, spice, wax, bright red berries, spring, summer forest, and meadow. Perfume. The palate is appealing with slim, sour fruit, red berries, and floral spices. Clean, precise, and nice. Smooth but with a tight and long finish. Good, just good to enjoy.

September 14, 2021 - Had this with BurgNick, bottle number 99 of 302. It took about an hour+ to fully open. I felt the village characteristics added to the typical Leroy style and gave a bit more depth and power to the palate, while the nose had lovely spice, blended red and dark fruit. No signs of over ripeness or heat - perfectly balanced.

September 13, 2021 - Bottle 99/302- On its fresh pour, the nose is slightly reticient but it already shows spice, lavendar and violets. With aeration, the subsequent pour exhibits intense spice, perfume, lavendar, purple fruit, stems, and crushed rocks. The palate has gained serious depth and weight. Love the weightless power and elegance. Despite the ripe vintage, the wine is so balanced with no signs of over-ripeness.

January 18, 2018 - Only 302 bottles made for this rare Gevrey, opened for 4 hours before consumption. Deep red with purplish hue, nose with slight residue oak and lots of evening scented stock and perfume. Very young, ripe and full of sap, looking foward to see how this wine will evolve in the medium term.
