September 10, 2017 - lush wine - cornucopia of red fruits, orange peel, hints of caramel. Very open today. slightly candied for my taste.

April 21, 2017 - Thin and overly acidic; nothing like a decent right bank wine. Really disappointing.

January 16, 2017 - Full of candied dark fruit. The wine is slowly evolving with traces of gravel, graphite and cedar on the midpalate. Would like to see more of the juicy fruit dissapate. I suspect it will evolve with significantly more time ( like 7-10 years) so this wine may improve noticeably.

November 13, 2016 - Pulled cork, poured an hour later and drank over 2 hours. Soft fruit, nicely mature. Enjoy now.

August 6, 2016 - PnP. Medium+ weight, but fruit was faint, tannins minimal and wine was acidic. Bad bottle or on the decline? Will try another bottle soon to see.

August 3, 2016 - A lot of chocolate and some coffee in the nose. Very perfumed forward nose. Rich mouth feel.

July 4, 2016 - As soon as the cork was removed and the wine poured into a decanter the aroma of a freshly opened bottle of cassis filled the cellar. After an hour of air time more blackberry/raspberry/smoke aromas appeared. The color was clear dark red. Very smooth dense dark berry and current fruit combined with cedar, tobacco and a hint of anise provided an enjoyable mouthful followed by a very long finish. I anticipate several years of shelf life for our remaining wine.

March 29, 2016 - Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+: Dark core with light purple rim; perfumed, oak, very sweet, candied, screams purple, firm green note in the back, tobacco; structured though a softer quality, sour plum, wild berry; very easy to drink.
