November 13, 2022 - Almost two years since I tasted my last bottle of this and it has developed nicely in bottle. Aromas of blackberry, tar, herbs, and violets on the nose. Tastes of blackberry, plum, herbs, and black pepper on the palate. The acidity and tannins complimented each other providing an amazing mouthfeel and texture.

October 23, 2022 - Aromas of fresh green herbs (rosemary, sage), ripe black cherry and ripe blueberry, boarding on blueberry pie. The palate has more "baked" flavors and fully shows blueberry pie/pie crust with a rush of vanilla and smoked wood at the end of the palate. Full bodied with high alcohol. Overall I find this VERY "warm climate" feeling and somewhat disjointed.

I think it just needs time to come together. Or maybe a longer decant. I like both producer and site enough to give it another try in a couple years.

November 3, 2021 - My nephew likened it to pepper jack cheese, and he was not wrong.

May 27, 2021 - Wow! Fantastic! One of the best syrahs I have ever had!. Bright red fruits on the nose with hints of pepper and bacon, but in a, dare I say, feminine way. The mid palate is solid, well balanced. Acidity makes it food friendly and have ability to age well. Very highly recommended!

February 26, 2021 - Red fruits & pepper galore. Oyster shell emerges with time. Josh mentions it costing $40. Interesting to try once. A single glass is fine but pretty expensive for what can be had in the market..

January 20, 2021 - Great, underrated winemaker. Great, underrated vineyard. A really outstanding young Syrah. On the upswing.

January 8, 2021 - 6 hour decant. Beautiful dark color. Lovely classic Syrah notes of olive and fat, but with dark blue fruit on the finish. Just lovely. If you have multiples try one and tuck the rest away a few years.

December 16, 2020 - Purple in color and opaque in the glass. Pnp and the nose was muted with hints of black fruit, cocoa, and dusty floral, but with time it opened up nicely into aromas of blackberries, plum, wet rock, and violets. Tastes of tart black cherry and pepper on the palate; full bodied with medium(+) acidity and grippy tannins; long, peppery finish. This should turn into a remarkable Syrah with some more age.
