May 25, 2021 - Tasted blind. Very deep and dark in the glass, black-ruby with garnet edged and stained tears. Expressive aromas and notes of black plum, blackberry, black cherry and dried orange peel fruit, with fresh purple florals, clove, anise and ground black pepper spice, with subtle earth. Succulent and fresh on the palate, concentrated yet finesse-driven, with pretty layers of black fruits, spices and cedar. Medium-to-full body, with round core density, nice lift to the acidity, and round fine tannin. Finishes dry with nice complexity. Excellent, and excellent QPR.
