January 24, 2022 - Cork soaked and started to disintegrate however with help of asoh manged to remove with no damage!
Light garnet. Great nose offering up ripe small red fruits, game, spice and undergrowth. Rich palate with lovely ripe fruit, smooth tannins and silky long finish. Delicious.

April 26, 2021 - This was the "Suchots Hauts" 1er cru bottling listed as a Barrel selection by North Berkeley Imports. Stood up for weeks with some fine sediment in the last 2oz. Light ruby, age-appropriate bricking; aromatic, lovely beguiling nose with strawberry, raspberry, lovely earthy complexity, slight mint and herbal and almost a touch stemmy (which I like); palate is medium bodied, lovely combination of some richer red fruits with high acidity and freshness, good depth; finish is medium to medium-plus length. A lovely Vosne/Suchots and drinking well now with another 5-10 years ahead of it. 93
6 hours later: No substantial difference. Still a lovely Vosne 1er cru but didn't evolve into anything additional with air.

February 24, 2019 - At first had some TCA notes which ended up blowing off 45-90 min. Dark fruits- almost sappy with some baking spices and hints at wilted flowers.

March 28, 2018 - Damn. When burgundy is on, baby it’s on! Deep, rich and pushing 15 years in the cellar. Wow. The last of my stash and a damn shame. Strawberry, freshness and great palate coverage. Wish I had more....

July 10, 2017 - Bright clear garnet colour. Nose offers up ripe strawberries, spice , chocolate , undergrowth. Rich ripe intense fruit with oodles of acidic minerality and integrated silky tannins. Long finish. Years to go!!

February 11, 2017 - A bit of seepage around the cork but the wine was fine. Intense nose of blackberry, raspberry and cedar notes. Nice intense flavours on taste that lend to a long finish. Good Vosne spice. Very elegant and almost Grand Cru level wine. Very enjoyable.

June 26, 2014 - Like a fine steak smothered in tomato sauce, the oak somewhat smothers the fruit and terroir here at the moment. Lots of spices and tangy fruit but the oak does dominate. There is certainly the stuffing for some cracking development. If one were attempted to open now I'd recommend a long decant.

May 11, 2014 - Intense nose, blackberry, spice ( cardamon, turmeric), rhubarb. On taste a sappy intensity with blackberry and rhubarb. Tannins still there coating the front of the mouth. Long sappy finish. A touch acidic, so food is a must. Very complex wine swinging like a Grand Cru. Very nice. This is still quite primary with minimal if any tertiary flavors. Long life ahead.
