  June 22, 2018 - Delicious with grilled lamb at pool party. Well balanced plenty of fruit and spice with savory herbs. Refreshing finish.

  January 16, 2016 - 2005 Ravenswood Big River Zin in Magnum format - a great wine, full of dark fruits and currants, good acidity and a long finish. This wine aged well, maybe 10 years on it was just in the zone - either way it was great.

  March 2, 2014 - Two bottles last week. First was very flat and musty - thrown away. 2nd was better. Still dark red but fruit fading. Lacked any great presence and I think now past its best

  November 8, 2011 - From Ravenswood and since it was an '05, I was expecting a bigger, more jammy wine. It was, however, more muted on both the nose and palate. That's not bad, just different than what I expected. It poured a dark purple with hints of bramble fruit. There wasn't a lot of spice or pepper ... just a nicely balanced zin that was very good both with and without food.
