July 30, 2023 - Popped and poured, VERY nice. Great balance from the Viognier. Paired very well with a broiled lobster.
November 3, 2022 - Light yellow, white flowers, smoky, and fresh peach on the nose, wax, pear, with the roussanne dominating, some viognier on the finish. Don’t perceive much contribution from the Chardonnay.
March 22, 2022 - Served at 40 degrees. Delicious, complex white blend with tropical fruit and earthy minerals. Finished at room temperature and it was just as good.
January 7, 2022 - Roussanne-focused white Rhône blend (but with Chardonnay). What a tease. You expect Paso Booker richness and interest, but it lacks definition. As a Roussanne fan, this is disappointing. Clearly an afterthought for BKR.
December 30, 2021 - The 2019 Booker White is quite a bit reductive which is overpowering the stone fruit. Medium bodied, but largely flat and uninteresting.
November 21, 2021 - It's a well-made wine although Rousanne is not one of our favorite grapes. Booker "White" is interesting, but simply for pleasure we would rather drink our two favorite pure Chardonnays (Beringer Reserve and Rombauer) for a lot less money ($32 vs. $50), so not a buyer for us.
May 28, 2021 - Northern Rhône blend. Full bodied waxiness from the Roussanne. Has some Chardonnay which gives it a lot of malolactic.
Like a Rhône white for Californians.
April 29, 2021 - Very nice nose; Medium rich profile
March 31, 2021 - Beautiful wine for a sunny day lunch...citrus, white flowers on the nose. Lemon, green apple, easy to drink. Could be more complex, but, so delicious.
January 22, 2021 - The 2019 Booker White features white orchards, melon, and white flowers. Great structure and tannins that should allow this to develop nicely over the next few years.
