February 6, 2023 - This 2018 Fracture Exteneded Syrah from Booker Winery was awesome. It is called "Extended" as the wine maker allowed it to age in the barrel longer than normal (22 months). Excellent balance on this wine and it will only get better.

February 19, 2022 - 2.5 hr decant. Medium purple. Ripe boysenberry, vanilla, cigar aromas. Sweetness on tongue of cherry and plum. Medium acids and fine tannins evolve into a sour cherry tartness and salt and good heat in the back of the throat. Finished rather too soon and less complexity than I expected. Enjoyable and likable. Will save a bit for tomorrow to see how it evolves.

September 6, 2021 - Winery tasting. Almost great. Balanced. Fruit. Layers. Want to add five more years to it and taste.

June 26, 2021 - Figs, balsamic notes, roasted fruits, more of the savory notes from the Syrah but not noticeably more than the other Syrah led GSM we had. Finishes with a little bit of a lighter touch and red fruit that pulls to the finish — probably has the most noticeable acid of any.

    May 28, 2021 - Deep purple.
Medium intensity aroma of black cherry, black pepper, herbaceous.
Dry, medium+ acidity, medium- tannin, high alcohol. Medium+ body. Medium intensity flavor of black cherry, black pepper, fig. Medium finish.

Strong alcohol flavor, leading to less balance than other Booker wines. Very good but you’d get wasted in no time.
