  January 14, 2021 - Weirdly insubstantial but with a notable cotton candy nose and flavor (what they call pink-vanilla) but not sweet. Like cotton-candy flavored water, which sounds worse than it was - it was actually kind of tasty. Regardless, not D&R’s finest in my book.

  December 28, 2020 - Having now had both the ‘17 and ‘19 Chenin, this is just not one of my favorite D&Rs. Recognizably chenin with lemon, mineral and wax, but not terribly exciting - a bit flabby, lacking in dimension, slightly washed out. It’s not that D&R whites are not my style - I rated the ‘18 Familiar blanc a 94 and easily my QPR white of the year. Pleasant and quaffable, but just not more.

  December 27, 2020 - A major disappointment for me - intriguing tropical nose that's with good balancing acid on the palate. However, it just has no finish and didn't improve the next day. Next to a Huet CdB sec, there's just no contest for what I personally prefer.

  November 12, 2020 - Balanced and vibrant with D&R's characteristic light touch. Lovely wine. I like their whites as much as -- perhaps more than -- their reds.
