April 7, 2024 - Definitely early in the drinking window. Modern with fruit purity and touch of balsamic, black cherry. Perfumed but not terribly so. Delicious.
February 11, 2024 - This didn't quite live up to its billing last night. It wasn't off, or critiquable, it was just sub-thrilling. (One guest remarked that they might not have guessed it for Nebbiolo; I thought it didn't taste like a '14.) As the silly points-purveyors go, I'm normally a Galloni Guy, but in this case WE (90) is way closer to the mark than AG (95).
December 20, 2023 - Montersino was better, likely vintage issue. This one needs to breathe before drinking. Quite full bodied and a lot of tannins. Tastes of sour fresh cranberries with the associated floral and cherry notes. Threw off a lot of tannin sediment at the bottom.
November 23, 2023 - Showing nicely with a few hours air
July 17, 2023 - Needs more time.
October 28, 2021 - From Coravin, sandalwood on the palate, light savory herb spice. An elegant style, dark cherry earth, tar aromas. Medium plus tannin, ripe and chewy. Drinks fine now, but could use some time for the tannin to settle. Or some food to compliment.
