November 13, 2022 - Finally opened one of my bottles of DuPuis Chard. I think Fingers nails this in his note. I just like it somewhat more. Wonderful complexity. Will be holding my next bottle but hard to envision how mellowing will improve it.

August 16, 2022 - Notes after following for 2 hours open. Light hay-gold color with a bright shine and clarity. Lightly powered nose with simple lemon and powdered doughnut. Minerals in the mouthfeel, with a long gliding persistence into the finish. A little more kumquat and kiwi comes in at the end. Quite steely, though as others mention, not particularly tense. If I had more of this, I would wait another 2+ years before coming back to it again.

June 9, 2022 - It’s fine. Lemon curd and steely freshness, but lacks tension and focus on the finish. It’s fine, but disappointing at the price level

February 26, 2022 - Uninspiring, relatively flat Chard that didn’t show any specific aromatic or flavor interest. It was just basic Chardonnay. Three of us tried it, and none of us finished a glass.

September 29, 2021 - No formal notes on this. My wife and I were curious to see how Wells Guthrie's new wines are faring and were very impressed. This Chardonnay is not quite (yet?) on a par with some of his Copain whites (such as DuPrat), but a very solid effort and I will be buying more when the new releases come out. Drink or hold for 3-5yrs.
