Community Tasting Notes 10

April 11, 2013 - The cork was soft and was wet halfway. Showing advanced age. Deep straw color and some toasty notes already. Still drinkable but I will have to consume my other bottles soon. My fist bottle 6 months ago did not have this wet cork and advance age character.

    Drink up.

March 22, 2011 - Bistro Karen Ron et al -- Developing nicely, a good juicy citrus core with layers of nutty marzipan developing on the palate. Great food wine.

February 19, 2011 - OC Blind Wine Crew Does Dinner and Italian (Again!) (Il Barone, Newport Beach CA): This wine showed age to me, with a bronze-like color and a fat texture. As it warmed, it became kind of buttery and flabby. Some mineral remains in it but other than that, it lacked complexity.

August 19, 2010 - This was fairly good. Quite mineral at first, honey and citrus/melon nose. But the longer it was open the rounder it got with more nuttiness. Very nice, not exceptional. Rather light bodied even though it had breadth.

March 29, 2010 - Wine Education Service - Chablis is Chic (LSE): Very sweet nose, sweet vegetables (carrots maybe) and some ripe fruit.
Fruity, good minerality, the grip of a bitter mineral finish, maybe not the taste you expect of Chablis.
