January 30, 2022 - Herbal, savory— nice weeknight Bordeaux.

April 24, 2021 - Jean-Marie Bouldy grows this on a 1.3-hectare sand and gravel plateau to the west of the appellation. Merlot (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) (average of 40 years old) are matured in oak barrels for 20 to 22 months.
    Decanted
Sowing herbaceous notes of sage, thyme and green vegetal aromas that mingle with pencil shavings, cigar box, rubbed violets, earth, cherry, plum, cooked berry and subtle spice and oak tones.
The palate is medium+ bodied with dry, firm tannins and balanced acidity. Savory flavors of herbs, earth, tobacco, No. 2 pencil and pepper meet notes of cherry, currant, plum and violet. The chewy finish lingers letting the textures and notes of cocoa play out.
