May 10, 2022 - Enjoyed at Bascom's steakhouse in Clearwater, FL. Not able to take notes. Client decided to order this given price and he had never had a Charbono. This was a really nice balanced wine - great fruit (black end of spectrum) with nice acidity to provide balance with food. Paired well with steaks. 91-92 range.

January 29, 2022 - Purchased for $40. The first wine I really enjoyed was a Charbono that was masquerading as an Italian wine (Via Firenze). I got this more for the memory of that wine, and I'm glad I did. Inky black in color. Nose of dark berries, herbs, vanilla and a hint of cranberry. Firm, but not overpowering tannins. Nice finish and length. Well done. Grade: A

January 17, 2022 - Big tannins, balck fruit. Dense and ripe, like a Sonoma cab crossed with the Griffin. It seems a little closed. Very enjoyable.
