May 16, 2019 - Great Rioja, earth, vanilla, cherry, fig, leather, black currant, balsamic note, these fine Rioja’s age so gracefully, medium to full body, great long finish

January 31, 2019 - Annual Coravin blitz - day one (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Strawberry, tobacco leaf, sweet spice, vanilla, a little leather, baked mud. More of the same on the palate. I remember this being more interesting…dumb phase?

January 20, 2019 - Very consistent with previous notes. Sweet strawberry fruit, gentle spice, hint of vanilla oak, right at its peak but plenty of life ahead.
Simply delicious - and less than £20 when I bought it!

August 31, 2018 - Remainder of a bottle after several Coravin samples over the past year.
    Deep garnet colour.
Pronounced aromas - dark fruit (cherry, bramble, cassis), some red fruit too, oak (vanilla, clove, smoke, cedar), dried fruit (fig, date, prune), tertiary (leather, earth, caramel, chocolate, meat). Fully developed.
Dry, high acidity, high chalky tannins, finer now, med (+) alcohol, full body. Concentrated flavours. Finish is medium (+).
Oak a lot less dominant compared to the previous note, wine seemed in a much better place. Still think it needs a lot of time in the decanter, or you can leave it several more years in the bottle - I think it will continue to improve.

March 25, 2018 - From memory: Drinking beautifully after a good hour in the decanter. Ripe wild strawberries, leather, sweet pipe tobacco, exotic spices and vanilla on the nose and palate. Fantastic depth, balance and length. No signs of drying fruit – has years ahead of it, but further cellaring is absolutely no requirement. I see that the oak treatment divides opinions, but I found it to be spot on. Just lovely!
