December 31, 2023 - If I'm being hard on this wine, I'd say it tastes "white wine" and not much else. If I'm being more on the positive side, I'd say this oozes quality, and is a very nice drink that I'd love to have as my house white, it's "neutral" wine style make it very useful.

September 21, 2022 - Drank over a week and it was very good even on the last day: white orchard fruit, some citrus and some peppery notes. Good weight and length. Maybe the best CB blanc I had. 91+

June 4, 2022 - Apple, pear and some honey and pineapple, there are also spices (white pepper and cinnamon). Ripe wine with good density and length. Well approachable.

May 22, 2022 - Not quite what I was expecting, given the glowing reviews I had read. Quite an austere wine, with a slightly drying finish, although I did enjoy the apple and pear-dominated fruit. I'm sure it just needs time but for now I actually prefer the normal domain wine.

August 18, 2021 - We enjoyed 2 bottles while dining on a resto patio on a gorgeous summer night, and paired with a small plate tasting menu featuring lots of fish and veggies. The wine took awhile to open - at one point we were wondering if the bottle was off. It wasn't, and patience was rewarded as it ended up in a great place. It's done in a leaner style: bone dry with floral aromas, apple and pear on the palate, and an underlying minerality. What a fine pairing it proved to be. This wine probably has 2 or 3 years ahead before hitting it's sweet spot.

April 30, 2021 - This is a lovely light- to medium-bodied chinon blanc, with faint floral (honeysuckle?) notes on the nose. Clean, bright pear, green apples, and white stone fruit on the attack, glycerine and citrus in the midpalate, and a long soft finish of mild acidity. Smooth and classy. Paired will with chilled duck breast slices and cheese over bread as an appetizer. The citrus notes cry out for shell fish, but none served tonight. Will hold my remaining bottles. Thanks OLDWINES for suggesting this! Just as tasty on Day 2.

March 13, 2021 - Crisp grannysmith apple and honeysuckle on the nose and palate, with a hint of lemon, cinnamon spice and pear. Dry with a short finish, and still quite young while very refreshing.

December 25, 2020 - A little bit young and pinched. Not lean, but not expressive. All the things I like about what Matthieu is doing with Chenin from this site. That particular chalkiness that I haven't found in other Loire Chenins that gives it a palate presence reminiscent of Chablis. I'll try to give it a couple of years to come together before having another bottle.
