January 6, 2024 - Bought aa few years ago, and has improved a lot since. Initially it was quite flat and a bit acidic but now there's much more juicy flavour , blackcurrant and liquorice, good stuff

May 25, 2023 - The aroma is delightful, with rich and beautiful notes that are well balanced. Palate lacks some depth and complexity. The pricing is relatively higher considering the quality, but it includes a premium for the Antinori label. The 2019 vintage, in particular, stands out as a more successful choice.

April 23, 2023 - My initial note still applies in the main, however this bottle has developed a cheeky -but not presumptuous- tartness on the back end to counterpoint the velvet grip.
It went well with a dinner of smoker roasted meatballs and fennel.

    Day 2
Still decent, and drank well with gazpacho and fried chicken cutlets.

    February 5, 2023 - Colour: medium(+) purple
Nose: medium(+) intensity, secondary, youthful. Cassis, blackcurrant jelly, blackberry jam. Raspberry jam, strawberry. Violets. Blackcurrant leaf, tobacco, menthol, stemmy. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove.
Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) sandpapery drying tannins, high alcohol (14%), medium(+) bodied. Medium(+) intensity, medium length finish. Cassis, blackcurrant, blackberry jam. Raspberry jam, strawberry. Violets. Blackcurrant leaf, tobacco, menthol, stemmy. Cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove.
Conclusions: very good. Can drink now, but suited to further ageing. A great everyday wine, and pretty decent for a not overly expensive supermarket buy.
    Seal: natural cork

January 29, 2023 - A Sangiovese based blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Deep garnet red color in the glass, slightly opaque.
On the nose, aromas of ripe raspberries and cherries with notes of leather and herbs.
Medium bodied mouthfeel with taste sensations mirroring the wine’s aromas.
While this wine is not as complex as I expected, still a pleasant wine.
    Balanced acidity with smooth finish.

January 2, 2023 - Musty and muted at first; decanting for a couple hours helped the flavors come forth.

A hint of forest floor on a nose dominated by violets and dark berries. The violets continue on the palate accompanied by black and blueberries. Medium bodied with a crushed velvet finish. Quite enjoyable and well worth the small price.

    Diminished on the second day.

November 22, 2022 - Quite a dark colour; soft, but with medium weight on the palate, which is quite lively with dark cherry/plum fruit and a touch of spice. Still quite youthful, but already attractive and ready to drink.
