April 9, 2022 - Pnp after another long weekend work day.....quite juicy and tannic at the start. Very nice classic cab nose for a '17. Fruit seems a tad blacker to start out than what I'm used to from Oakville and from the '17 vintage and the acidity is front and center......slow ox'd in the bottle and also enjoyed in our glasses over 3+ hours after dinner. Nose develops a tad of herbal/pine quality at 3+ hours that actually improves it. The strong opening acidity comes into better balance and provides great backbone and a nice mouthwatering finish of about 20-30 seconds at the swallow, at this point. The tannins are a little better balanced at this time also. There's also a little more hint of oak in the glass, too. The fruit is beginning to deepen. I had originally given this a 93 and Carol says a strong 94, maybe 95. At nearly the end of the last glass, I think this has achieved 94 pt status. A very nice wine for a very troublesome year in Napa.

March 13, 2021 - Very impressive wine at this point. Loads of blueberry and blackberry on the nose - extremely aromatic wine. Nice texture on the palate with hints of vanilla and florals. Beautiful long finish. Will cellar well but drinking nice now (with several hour decant)

December 10, 2020 - Dark red and black fruit flavors. Less viscosity then the standard VGS cab sauv. Tasted more like a Petit Syrah.
