Community Tasting Notes 8

  • Fractalage Likes this wine:

August 6, 2022 - Initial decant revealed no nose.
Palate was very tart, but with power and stars, going on coating my mouth with delicious herbs and tars.
This much acid needs food. Good fatty food.
Lamb was excellent with this wine. Made it taste much better.

    Loved it.

December 24, 2021 - A glass at Noble Rot wine bar in Wellington, NZ. Pale cherry colour, with garnet at the glass rim. A bouquet of wild raspberries and blackberries, bramble, spices, cherries, dried herbs and dark rose petals. On entry, impressions of vibrant, persistent acidity and those wild berries. Not the culture or breeding of a Nebbiolo, but that’s kind of the point. Lighter bodied than you might expect from the bouquet. Some rusticity and grip - yet to loosen - in the tannins of this young wine. Not profound but an enjoyable, characterful wine with Pelaverga varietal character. Food friendly.

November 14, 2021 - pale amethyst; bright & lively, perfumed red-skinned fruit; elegant; vibrant red-berried palate, tangy, w/spicy & stimulating acids. performed better w/food than anticipated.

September 3, 2021 - Bright ruby red, light in color and body. Nose of red fruit, primarily raspberry. Crisp with some mineral notes. Refreshing and a good aperitif wine. At Barolo Grill in Denver
