February 2, 2024 - Really nice, distinctly Pinot-esque style of Beaujolais that's missing some of the potential vivid juiciness and rustic funk the region is capable of, but still shows plenty of elegance and beautiful fruit. Lots of ripe black raspberry, not "bright" and candied, but not muddled either. A bit of a minerally component, which I enjoyed a lot. Silky and cool on the palate, fresh without any sense of "tartness". Fairly straightforward and really tasty. I think it'll improve with a short cellar nap, especially as the minerally tones come to the fore. I could be slightly underrating this.

January 13, 2023 - Tonnes of baby fat, sweet berries and all of it. Half of the bottle left for next day, improved slightly but honestly this needs a 3-4y time to become what is supposed to be.

January 12, 2022 - Opened and poured a small amount into a Pinot glass. Immediate nose like American pinot noir. Pretty cranberry dominates on nose and palate. Bigger and more structured than most gamays, even from Morgon or Fleurie. Some terrior materializes after about a half hour while tannins stay soft. Neither sweet nor tart with no hint of the 14% alc. Well made easy drinker. Made to drink young and was good with the roast duck dinner tonight. Good QPR from Costco.

Finished bottle 4 hrs. later. Didn’t fade but also didn’t change much either.
