April 30, 2022 - Cork was moldy on the top, but came out fine with a Durand and the wine is pure. Lovely wine at 22 years. Some forest mushrooms have shown up on the nose and palate since my last bottle, but in a subtle way that adds a lovely dimension to this wine. The wine (13% I think, but it's tiny print so I'm not certain) is nicely balanced and still has a good amount of fresh, delicious fruit. Some very fine tannins still linger on the long-ish finish. Great wine - reminds me a lot of aged Beaucastel CdP!

January 15, 2022 - This wine has demonstrated significant bottle variation. This bottle was quite good with dark cherry and some quince on the nose with garrigue hints, lavender, leather. More on the palate. Still some soft tannins holding this wine together. Longish finish.

May 24, 2021 - This wine is great and still has life left. It's in a nice drinking window now though. Tannins are still there, but not overpowering by any means. Lovely Mourvedre nose. It is medium bodied with a decent finish. Good stuff.

November 14, 2020 - Excellent wine still after 20 years. Great dark fruit, mellow tannins.

Interestingly, my bottle had a cork stamped 2001 yet the neck label was 2000.

April 26, 2010 - Dark and brooding, with smoky, roasted plum and black berry fruit, tar, earthy spices, and cigar notes. Dense, chewy and rich, with velvety tannins and sharp acidity. Serious Mourvedre at peak now.
