April 26, 2024 - Final bottle from a 6 pack. I must say, this wine has grown on me a bit over the past 2 years that I have consumed it.
Tangerine, grapefruit, rhubarb, spicebox, and pepper.
There is a definite savory quality to this wine, mixed with sweet/tart citrus notes.
Drink it up. Interesting wine on occasion, but not really a re-purchase for me.
March 29, 2024 - orange hue. on the nose lots of skin contact aromas... waxy smells, a bit nat'y. on the palate high acids, moderate depth on the midpalate, finishes phenolic with low alcohol. balanced wine with good length, very good intensity, good complexity. wine has balance, a fine texture, ok expression of place. high quality, intellectual type wine. drink up.
March 23, 2024 - 5th of 6 bottles, enjoyed on the boat while relaxing in the bay. All enjoyed it, for what it is.
September 29, 2023 - Pours orange, and on the aroma it’s an unsurprising apple, tangerine, and a bit of wet stone. But then on the palate, it’s juicy tangerine and some lemon, mouthwatering as hell on the finish. That’s when you realize it – the skin contact is very much there visually, but on the plate, barely. I could see it (well, taste it) as an Alsatian Pinot Gris, especially as the plate develops. Bright citrus, honey, dried mango, golden raisin. If you’re an orange wine junkie looking for a fix, this probably isn’t for you, but if you’re not, hit it.
August 20, 2023 - 4th of 6 bottles, tasty, a bit oxidized, but I think that is on purpose for this "orange wine".
March 26, 2023 - Mega lecker, wild aber jetzt auch nicht hochelegant und -konplex. Deswegen reichen 88 Punktes.
November 29, 2022 - VK: roter Apfel, Rhabarber, Tabak, gute Frische, n bissl Tannin
September 5, 2022 - 3rd of 6 bottles, I liked it better than the previous 2 times I tried it.
Orange zest, clove, black pepper, raspberry. Just an interesting yet quite refreshing rendition.
Drink through 2023+.
April 15, 2022 - 2nd bottle of 6 purchased, last consumed 5 mos ago.
I can drink this wine. I just do not really love it. I can't even say I like it.
I can stand it. It isn't "bad". Just not a flavor profile I would ever rebuy.
Burnt raspberries and strawberries, with black ground pepper flakes and wet dirty gravel.
Hmmm...drink now, or serve as the midnight wine at your kids' wedding reception?
November 20, 2021 - 1st of 6 bottles. This is not really wine-like, more like a hazy beer or a nice cider.
The wine is reminiscent of orange juice and tangerine spritz.
A bizarre wine, but drinkable if you are open to new frontiers.
Drink now through 2023+.
