December 30, 2023 - Drinking well now but would consume sooner rather than later. Hints of graphite/green pepper on nose and a bit of red fruit hanging on. Benefitted from 30m-1hr of air, at initial open didn’t get much fruit so was a bit angular given tertiary notes. A very nice texture throughout with more cashmere than most old Bordeaux I’ve had (maybe the merlot?).

November 12, 2023 - Strongest of the trio of Bordeaux we had that night. Lynch 86 and 90 being the other 2. Dark, with some smoke and plush cherry fruits. Touch of green and this had the body carry. I’d be more than happy to drink this.

November 11, 2023 - Same bottle as Melvin. Been 11 years since I last had this wine and it is still going strong. Very enjoyable to drink given the dryness here but still with solid fruit concentration. We all thought this was a mature left bank Bdx, and even when Matthew revealed it was right bank, nobody got VCC right.

November 10, 2023 - Wines from regions starting with B: Think everyone including me was surprised turned out to be a left-bank. Old-school greenness, liked the elegance and silky dark red fruit which made me land on VCC as the producer. Another Bordeaux where everyone guessed younger than 1990 but guessed 1985 because they always turn out to be indestructible. Love these classic Bordeaux.

April 28, 2023 - How frustrating, another corked bottle from the same vendor... Can't be coincidence, can it?
