May 16, 2022 - This site is the only Grand Cru in Alsace that grows Sylvaner. Interesting in the glass when first poured with a pale green colour and a pronounced spritz. Red ripe red apple fruit but bone dry which reminded me of a good vintage cider but offers more with lots of complexity and intensity. Tasted this alongside a range of fine Grand Cru white wines in a wine bar in Colmar and this stood out as the best. Excellent.
