September 25, 2022 - part of a large tasting. 100% Merlot. Started out lacking a nose, eventually opened some. Blackfruits, black licorice, floral and cedar. Soft tannins in the finish. Question of some residual sugar?

December 7, 2021 - Bought a few of these given the price point. Opened one to try it out. Dark berry on the nose, fair amount of tannin. Should age nicely over the next few years.

November 17, 2021 - Popped and poured, was undrinkable. Put away to the next night, was much better, but probably could have used another 24 hours. I will not touch another one of these for 4+ years.

October 15, 2021 - Flower Day - Pop and Poured. Garnet in the glass, slightly translucent to the ruby edge. Nose of pomegranate, dark fruit (must be a fair bit of Merlot in this), herbs, cedar, spice, graphite and a bit of sous bois. Very primary on the nose and a bit ‘raw’. On the palate the graphite hits first followed by the warm fruit (almost a blue/red compote), graphite, cedar and a bit of chalkiness. The tannins are soft and ripe, although present, and the acidity is there but both are overwhelmed by the bold fruit. I’d say this is a drink now and over the next 5 years wine. Enjoyable but relatively simple and a good introduction to the Bordeaux style.

September 27, 2021 - Bought a few bottles, so opening one young. Showing nicely, but still lots of tannin. Should develop well. Good value for the price, for sure.
