December 9, 2023 - Tasted this wine in a lineup of a 2018 Maybach Materium, 2017 Quintessa and a 2017 Sherwin Family reserve. The Galitzine more than held its own as it showed quite well in spite of being so young. Very well structured with an almost Bordeaux-like feel, this wine should pick up a point or two over the next few years. While not in its peak drinking window I would say within a year or two it will more than hit its stride, even in the early part of what I would think would be a several year drinking range. Always a tough choice to make as whether to enjoy now or roll the dice down the road. For people with more than a few bottles, 2024 might be the year to pull a cork.

April 7, 2023 - Decanted 8 hours prior to tasting. Extraordinarily young is my description for this wine. A little disjointed, the tannins were loud and unrefined, I just did not enjoy this at this young.
Day 2 - no real change
Day 3 - soft, but tannin forward.

February 10, 2023 - I am drinking it young! Very youthful as expected from a WA cab. Nose of pine forest, dark berry, lilac, pot pouri. Balanced vibrant tannins with nice palate and finish. This is a very enjoyable wine. Might be 98...

August 25, 2022 - This wine is dark purple. First bottle of this vintage. Nose of violets, plum and terroir. Across the palate , it’s still young but killer, anise and leather . Very long finish .
