October 14, 2023 - Big and concentrated but the high alcohol is noticeable and holds it back
June 21, 2023 - Brought to Andrea’s for dinner before Leonard Cohen movie - excellent
March 11, 2023 - Over two days.
A big wine...and that is ok. Allow it to breathe. Dried fruits, herbs, spice, and savory notes throughout. Glycerin (alcohol) shows at the middle and back. Best served at about 60 degrees and with food...to help keep the 16 abv at bay.
December 23, 2022 - Coravin access.
Fairly muted bouquet, but alcohol certainly makes its presence known. Delicious taste profile, if leaning quite modern. The wine wears its alcohol well enough...but 16 abv is...well...16 abv. Scary! Marbled meats help tame it.
October 2, 2022 - Dark cherry, blackberries, some vanilla. Bold.
January 20, 2022 - Medium Ruby garnet color
On the nose getting spicy pepper, farmy, dried dark fruits, smoky,
On the palette it’s smooth, good medium high tannins, black cherry, dried herbs, slight vanilla, oak, leather, tar, good acidity on the finish. It’s a long finish with some fruit notes reappearing on the tail end but fruit notes are really subdued behind the terroir. Definitely want to have this when it’s a bit older.
January 9, 2022 - Smoked herbs, thyme, flowers and cherry notes come alive on the nose. From there, you easily find a medium-bodied, soft, elegant, kirsch dominated wine with freshness, purity and spicy undertones in the finish. The wine was made from blending mostly Grenache, with Mourvedre and Cinsault. Drink from 2023 - 2033
January 7, 2022 - Nice CDP was worried I opened it to early but it was great after 15 minutes to breathe.
