August 12, 2023 - On the first night,
On the nose I have to agree there was something reminescent of jack Daniels. The palate is quite ripe and a bit disjointed. Saved a glass for the next day.

    Day 2,
Everything came together, nose and palate where much more refined, still ripe, darker fruit but I must say that I am looking forward to taste again in +/- 3 years.

February 21, 2023 - 13% alcohol. From a half bottle. Short Diam5 closure with a generic print "mis en bouteilles dans nos caves"; a bit of penny pinching going on here. The colour is dark for Pinot.
Rich nose with a heady mix of lightly stewed fruit (not in a bad way). At first, coming immediately after an unoaked Pinot, the mouth feels very overoaked; but later on, once the memory of the previous wine is gone, the balance achieved by the wine is quite credible. Incidentally, this is why I am deeply suspicious of comparative tastings of wines of differing styles; the sequence effect is just too important, potentially denying each wine the courtesy of being assessed on its own terms.
Now that I have stepped down from my soapbox, let's get back to the wine in the glass: vg acidity and commendable fruit; the oak is still there, and probably slightly too much so, but the wine is still quite young and things might calm down.
This wine majors on richness (bordering on opulence) rather than on purity; very enjoyable nevertheless.

December 6, 2022 - From a half bottle. 13% alcohol. Diam5 closure. The colour is a youthful purple, very bright and appealing with some thinning at the rim.
Very fruity and immediate nose of red cherries with a winning purity of fruit. The mouth is similarly engaging with a juicy quality that is reminiscent of a cross between Pinot and Gamay (and I do not mean this in a negative way at all).
Not a complex wine (at this stage at least), but irresistible nevertheless.
A success without a doubt, and it will be interesting to monitor the evolution of this wine over years to come.

September 13, 2022 - Vins compris 13sept2022. Robe sombre. Nez de canard au sang, fruits noirs, cuir, végétal. Riche et épais en bouche. Magnifique équilibre et potentiel. Très flatteur maintenant et dans la jeunesse.
