June 19, 2017 - MNB: Old wines (Home (Noe st)): (blind)
    Pale gold color.
Ripe aromatic nose of icy tangerine, prominent TDN/petrol, and a hint of botrytis (saffron and toasted rice).
    Lightly sweet - 15-20 g/L RS
Light body, low alcohol - 10% (actually 9%), high (minus) acid. Long finish starting to show some evolution - savory browned dried lemon.

This is a super nice Spatlese-level Riesling that shows some botrytis (you don't always see this at the Spatlese level) and crisp acid.

    Guess: 2007 Spatlese Riesling, Mosel.

November 25, 2016 - bright citrus fruit, lemon curd, peaches (yellow). beautiful wine in a good place though will easily age for a dozen more years.

October 15, 2016 - Light color and weight. Floral and lime aromas. Perfect weight, just off dry Kabinett full of green citrus, apple, and slate.

September 5, 2016 - Corey and Linda NYC lunch: delicious Kabi. mineral. orange with kiwi and green apple on the back, lovely fruit, tons of bright acids and long finish. who could ask for more? early maturity - will easily age for years more.

July 1, 2016 - The nose was sweet and savory with ripe pear, herbal tea and hints of pepper. On the palate, I found soft textures with green and yellow apples, and sweet herbs. It was nicely integrated through bottle age. The finish was fresh, resonating on green apple and kiwi. Yum.

(Karthäuserhof Eitelsbacher Karthäuserhofberg Riesling Kabinett) Delightful fruit here, piles of bright, clean limes and melons. A fabulous style, very bright, ripe and flavoursome, textured. Notes of complex spices alongside a fleshy substance. This has really outstanding quality for this Prädikat.
