August 15, 2023 - Just not feeling this one. My wife actually disliked it enough that she didn’t finish a glass - a rarity for her. I miss the first couple vintages of Pretty Horses, which had such lovely red fruit and a sense of fun. They were terrific. To me, the 2018 and 2019 both come across as dull, with the fruit elements hidden behind a flat savoriness.

April 19, 2022 - Pretty consistent with first bottle—fairly light and pretty, light red fruits and not very tannic. Still maybe a touch of VA on night one and slightly better on night two.

March 27, 2022 - Bottle 1357g. No capsule. Aromas of moderate intensity, lifted, black and red berries, vanilla, wood. Dry, with elevated acidity and moderate drying tannins. Sweet fruit. Medium-bodied, 13.2°. A little more volatile than I would like. Wants at least another year to settle down. 75% tempranillo, 10% grenache, 10% pinot noir, 5% graciano.

October 29, 2021 - Didn’t make it a whole year since my last bottle, but curiosity got the better of me. This is coming along but still hasn’t hit its stride just yet. Maybe another 6-9 months?

October 10, 2021 - Not the best night for the pretty horses. An off bottle and then the 2nd had an herbal/savory note that was a lot more pronounced than the other bottles we’ve had. Still solid but didn’t love as much as we usually do.
