November 10, 2023 - you don't have to drink it to love it the smell alone swirled in the glass does the trick

July 8, 2023 - Just over three years since my previous bottle of this wine. Nothing about this bottle say 19 years. Deep ruby colour. Dark red and blue fruit with mineral and forest notes. As drinkable as this wine is now, I think it has an incredible upside. The palate is intense with fruit masking the tannins leading to a very long finish. Purity and elegance.

December 11, 2021 - Double decanted for 2 hours. Still opaque dark purple without real bricking despite the age. The nose was subdued but enjoyable. On the palate dark cherry, leather. Still strong fruit without significant tertiary flavour notes. Tannins are fine and chalky leaving a clean fresh mouth feel. Overall very enjoyable, I would not have guessed this is 17 years old. Not sure how much longer it has but will consider buying more.

April 10, 2021 - Sweet dark cherries, tobacco and cedar on the nose. Like a mature left bank Bordeaux of high class. Elegant.

Juicy and very satisfying on the palate. Still nice tannic grip. Drying slightly off in the finish, sign for me that you should drink up now or within 1-2 years. But as always: it’s a matter of taste and preference
