November 7, 2010 - Earthy, sour cherry, a little mint and wet earth stewed tomatoes. Some acid in the end. DBP hit it pretty well with the last description. I liked it quite a bit and the acidity did not overwhelm with the Lamb Shank and Pasta served tonight. 90+ and drinking nicely still.

April 15, 2010 - In glass 30 minutes. This wine is definitely into its tertiary development. Aromas are showing sweet, juicy earth, a wet paper bag, stewed tomatoes, mushrooms with balsamic on top, a mint leaf growing on a Douglas fir branch, and some light sour cherry underneath it all. Mid-palate is also showing tons of wet soil underneath a douglas fir in an old growth forest, nice light acidity and mild tannins, with a bit of chalk. Finish hits really hard with tons of acidity and salt, a sour cherry, some light bits of soil. The acidity will definitely be too much for some, but I dig it, though it does completely dominate. The mid-palate doesn't quite lead on how acidic the finish is about to be, as its fairly soft. I just read my note from two years ago and unfortunately, I get zero prosciutto today. That sounds delicious.

August 7, 2008 - Extremely obvious and abundant sour cherry and the nice Italian softness made this wine very enjoyable. Nice old world flavors, though not wonderfully complex and a little light on tannins for my taste. Good value.
