January 22, 2023 - Fairly dark fruit like purple plum and blackberry. Some cocoa and slight green accents and a touch of graphite. Fine drying tannins on the finish. Slightly disjointed and may benefit from another 1-2 years in the cellar. Generally notable for a big, dark and brooding character.

December 20, 2021 - Alongside using a small amount for inclusion in my wife's pot roast Milano (which is always excellent!), this bottle of Anthem was very, very good. It was very tight upon opening, however, so decanting wouldn't be a bad idea. Moderate tannins. It opened up after probably 15 minutes in the glass. Have one more bottle of the 2018 that we'll try another time. Many years ahead, suggesting 2032 end-date.
