December 7, 2020 - Cork broke about 3/4 of the way down. Color deep gold to brass, surprisingly dark for its age. I wonder about cork integrity here. This was also faintly but definitively corked. Enough to wipe out the nose but not so bad that a peek on the palate was impossible. It's quite sweet and viscous, with some tangy tangerine-like acidity. This was a flawed bottle though, so take it with a grain of salt.

May 8, 2015 - Lovely chalky-flinty quality, notes of grapefruit. Rather sweet for a spatlese but still elegant. Maybe lacking a tad of acidity but very nice nonetheless. At peak, no reason to wait.
