February 8, 2023 - Sandalwood, leather chair, sweet cherry pie, oaky, but long and super silky. I liked certain aspects of this wine, but it didn't impress me much overall for this level. However it garnered 1st place by the group. DD Napa Cabs blind at Michaels

December 27, 2020 - Like a snapshot of when winemaking turn a massive wrong turn a couple decades back. Huge notes of new oak still on the nose with ripe fruit. Cherry cough drops. Ripe fruit forward. Fills off a lot from middle to finish. It's the standard problem with aging super ripe, hollow wines. That core density and backbone just are not there as they are in wines that need age. This was likely best ten years ago. And it's not really even that identifiable as Cab to be honest. It's different on night two. There are some leafy notes but the alcohol also sticks out more. So bad trade. The oak has integrated a bit. The body of the wine feels a touch more balanced. But it's still nothing like a classic, aged Cab. None of the subtle, brooding character that takes your senses away. This is like here is some fruit, oak and alcohol. Enjoy. Trying to imagine this single vineyard wine made by them just five years prior.

August 17, 2018 - Beautiful tonight. Tannins fully integrated with a sweet dusty nose. Lots of eucalyptus and mint with winter spice and ripe fruit, roasted coffee beans. Lots more here, too. Made me come back for another glass. Clearly several more years of life ahead.

October 19, 2017 - Final bottle was spectacular. Not going anywhere. 5 more years, easy.

August 20, 2016 - Another brilliant showing for this wine. It's in a perfect place now with resolved tannins and the ideal balance of fruit and acid. 3-5 more years left easy, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it drinking well in 10.
