April 20, 2024 - Så jäkla härlig syra!
Finstämd autolys, bokna äpplen, solmogen citron, krämig- tänker nästan lemon curd, honung.
Så många lager. Sjukt bra!1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 10, 2024 - Second bottle: more evidence of a hint of creamy undertone and mildly refined sinews, but overall just not impressive. Pinot Meunier can be brought to an equal plane, but here it is just pleasant and nicely balanced.

December 22, 2023 - This is well made, but I am not bowled over, and believe that Galloni’s review overshoots the mark. Yes, a refined, nicely crafted very crisp approach to meunier. But when it comes to coaxing some creaminess or more floral notes from this newly- esteemed grape, this wine comes nowhere near the Brochet magic that defines how these wines can develop. Time will unfold more floral notes, but crisp acidity, improved minerality and citrus notes with little dosage were the sum. Drink.

July 7, 2023 - Lovely light gold color. Nutty, honeyed nose. Fine, vigorous bead. Lemons, apples, nutty notes on the palate. Lovely acidity, great balance. Finishes light and lemony. A lovely sparkler.

May 1, 2023 - A marked improvement from the last bottle I had, this was performing exceptionally well after a bit of air. With a shimmering, coppery glow, this sample of VdA showed a beautiful hue and was shockingly gulpable on entry. Golden raisin, grilled lemon, red apple flesh, marzipan, bark, olive oil, and river rock flavors all remind me more of the 2014 version (which is a good thing). Finishes a tad simple, but with a roll of flavor that saturates the mouth and keeps you coming back for more.
This will likely never reach the heights of the 2012 or 2014, but it does its job in the "Hey, this is pretty good" department. I realize that isn't the most roaring endorsement, but given that these can generally be found well below sub-$100, I think it's a decent buy for those looking for a PM grower type version, though I'd aim to seek out the 2012 and 2014 ideally first.
Hold the 2016 for a few more years and you'll probably be able to syphon a bit more complexity out of it. 90 points for complexity right now. 92+ points on flavor and its ability to pair well with food (Gochujang chicken bao buns). Settle on 91 points.1 person found this helpful Comment
