August 28, 2022 - A purple brooding viscous wine, a carpet stainer as we would say in South Africa. This was purchased ex estate from Wheeler Farms over a 5 course dinner by Matthew Fitch their brand ambassador. Highly recommend! The wine continues its slow evolution showing a hedonistic Napa expression. Fig jam, boiled sweets and baked fruit cake on the nose. Also has a cinnamon like spiciness. The palate reveals a stewed fruit compote leading into pen ink and flinty dry stone. Excellent.

July 30, 2022 - Outstanding - no hard edges - modern; just the right amount of oak

June 1, 2022 - decant for 90 minutes to get optimal drinking

April 17, 2022 - Not sure that I detected anything specific to Missouri Hopper, but it’s a very good expression of Napa Cab
