February 10, 2021 - Fruity aromas sprung from the bottle on opening and pouring. This wine is medium ruby in color. Aromas of cherry dominate along with notes of fennel (or licorice) and cocoa. Mild tannins, but they are notably present on the front of this light-bodied wine. Smooth finish. This is a very easy-drinker. We enjoyed with crackers, sharp cheddar cheese and apple slices. This is a great wine for fruit. The apples brought out some of acid and fruit flavor in the wine and the wine made the apples very delicious--almost sugary in flavor. With the cheese, the wine is less acidic and more smooth. Enjoyable experience.
