August 1, 2022 - Served by friends at an informal get-together, this inexpensive Cab offers dark berries, bittersweet chocolate, baking spices and toasted oak in a medium-bodied, softly tannic frame. The wine's alcohol (listed as 13.5%) is tame and the middle palate is surprisingly dense for a Cab in this price range. Medium in length and smooth on the back end, it was an excellent red wine choice for the occasion and "audience." Pop the cork and enjoy it without much thought over the next 3-4 years. Drink now-2026.
