July 11, 2023 - I liked that the citrusy fruit wasn't just grapefruit, and was a little muted/rounded, not a slap in the face. Floral accents lent some depth. No grass here.

May 15, 2022 - This Sauvignon Blanc has nostalgic aromas of orange blossoms, wildflowers, dandelion greens, honey, bosc pear, and fresh cut grass. The texture is light and creamy, with a touch of refreshing acidic citrus, green apple, and a soft mineral finish. It’s minerality and lightness makes this wine very drinkable. Lack of purity makes this less than 95. May progress with age. Keep Guzzlin’.
March 29, 2022 - Fresh nose of green apples, nettles, white pepper and limes. Light and bright, fresh and focused; very good finish.
4/5
October 31, 2021 - Lovely. A bit more rounded/less steely for NZ, but with vibrant fruit.
August 15, 2021 - Sauvignon Blanc Zoom tasting. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose medium intensity, with aromas of smoky matchstick + flint reduction, herbal green pea, gooseberries, cut rubber hose funk. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dense grapefruit, gooseberries, sweet green pea, some sweet creaminess, underlying salty saline character. Lightly textured long finish.
Very good quality. Slight higher residual sugar is discernable but not offensive. Ambitious NZ SB calling to be taken seriously.
