September 2, 2014 - No formal note. Think this past it's prime. Interesting but done. Drink up if you have any left

February 3, 2011 - Very crisp and clean flavors of white fruit. ($27)

July 20, 2010 - Had this at a Rieslings of the world tasting for the Bocca group. Initially showed some nice intensity but with time the nose became muted and the once rich mouth went slightly thin. Part of me thinks that this may just be a sytlistic issue and the wine was more on the subtle and elegant side. But, it was fairly middle of the pack when it came to the other wines on the table.

July 10, 2010 - Delicious with Indian food. Complex fruit flavors that I couldn't figure out.

    July 4, 2010 - -- popped and poured --
    -- tasted non-blind over a couple hours --

NOSE: tropical fruits; apples; pears; hint of petrol; after an hour in the glass a floral lemony note emerged. Very nice.

BODY: tan-golden yellow color; medium-light to medium bodied.

TASTE: not quite dry; very Rheingau-like: tropical, soft white sugar, background minerality; 12.7% alc. not noticeable; longish finish; this was better during hour 2 than hour 1.

    B: 50, 5, 12, 16, 7 = 90

(Herman J. Wiemer Dry Riesling) #2; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-dried pineapple candy component which is pretty; a sugar cube component; some sea water stone action; TASTE-nice & dry; good solid attack; apple core is prominent; kind of dull; not razor sharp; a little honey activity; just OK; GV-87
